These are some of the oddest recordings of the late 1950s pop music era, since they are both done in the style of a theatrical show revue doing big band swing with a rock beat, with strings.
This is a single release from Ron Goodwin's terrifically fascinating 1958 album "MUSIC IN ORBIT" on Capitol-EMI Records UK and USA. These sides was recorded in late 1957, as part of the musical cues for his unrealized musical show project, then one track was so catchy it was released as a single "Swinging Sweethearts" in October '57 on Capitol-EMI. Mr. Goodwin followed that release with this one in early 1958 before including these single tracks on "MUSIC IN ORBIT".
