yeh definitely 4/4 beats.
been struggling with this issue recently trying to mix Radioheads Everything in over some house tunes. (which is 5/4).
very tricky to find a way of working different beat arrangements into each other.

see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cg5UuPUPT00 for a good example of what 5/4 time sounds like.

Interesting concept to use 5 beat bars for groovy acid techno, and these riffs themselves are pretty strong; the overall sound is well designed also with a strong funky groove. Unfortunately, the permanence of the polyrhythmic aspect keeps the tracks from really taking off. They would have been far better and could be real dancefloor killers if the syncopation was only for breaks, but this way the tracks remain lifeless pure sequencer twiddling.

I don't know if Rozzo took the 5/4 idea from Miss Djax' "vs the World" EP or the other way round. But her tracks were more forceful, not even attempting to groove, so she was more consistent in her implementation.
