The title track might just be my favorite by the duo. Hot on the heels of the immensely successful Birmingham, they lay down the same type of theme with a 2-3 key pattern going up and down a note. However, the reason why I cherish Truckers Tan more is due to the unstoppable, slamming percussion which leaves the somewhat more tribal orientated Birmingham with a lot of sand in the mouth. But it should all really come down to personal preferences. If you liked one of the two, then you have no other choice but to hear the other. Both follow the exact same formula, are constructed around similar melody work, but the way things turned out Birmingham created a larger buzz. But this one is just as great, and due to my hunger for nastier beats, I tend to lean more towards Truckers Tan.

The flip has We R Thru, an equally effective and well executed tune, with a more evocative theme which gets less emphasized throughout the track than it did on the A side. Rough tribal beats, tight bass and overall great production vaults make this a safe purchase and a winner on the floor.

Bottom line is that this 12" contains music which complements Rue East's sophomore album, "Indoor Culture", to great results. The A side is a fine follow up to the classic Birmingham, while We R Thru has more of that swell, wall to wall techno goodness for those who want more in the vein of the album. Satisfaction guaranteed!
