I picked up a copy of "The Revenant" film score and upon opening it I saw that the first LP was not the right color concern number one, but that paled in comparison to the mislabeling of the record, (I would attach photos but I am not sure how to do that). The first LP is probably a "Tiger Jaw" record because that is what is labeled on lp. Further, both the a/b labels are stuck together on one side leaving no label on the other.

I have not had a chance to listen to it so I'm not sure if the messed up LP is in fact the first of the two LP Revenant film score or if it is a Tiger Jaw record. Regardless epic fail Milan.

This is one of my favorite scores to listen to on vinyl. It came with a download card and while I can listen to it on my phone or in the car, it does not compare to hearing it on vinyl. My copy does have occasional bits of surface noise but they are few and far between. Overall this pressing sounds fantastic.

Picked up a copy of this recently, (Coloured variant) a word of warning the pressing is not very good. There is a great deal of surface noise which can be heard over the music beyond that normally associated with vinyl. A real shame as this is a soundtrack that deserves to be heard as pure as it can be and the packaging is great.

I have attempted to contact the Milan Records several times to raise the issue and ask if a repress is planned but currently have not had a response.

Some pops and crackles here and there but far from unlistenable. People shouldn't expect perfection from a colored vinyl or even normal vinyl. Analog medium isn't perfect and that's what makes its beauty. I still recommend it, very , very beautiful soundtrack and great mastering.

Anyone able to comment on the surface noise of the black pressing over the coloured?

Surface noise all over both records on the copy I received. Really too bad; it's such a great soundtrack and definitely a beautifully-designed release.

I wrote a review of this edition on Modern Vinyl. Surface noise is pretty disappointing (worst culprit is on Side B, better but not perfect on other sides), but a beautiful release. http://modern-vinyl.com/2016/03/03/vinyl-review-ryuichi-sakamotoalva-noto-the-revenant-ost/

Anyone order theirs from B&N and have surface noise? Are they fixing the issue? Their return policy says you have to pay for shipping.

Such a beautiful release, but yes a lot of surface noise. Very disappointing.

I opened the LP US release and they are colored. I think all copies are colored. It has surface noises but after I cleaned them with VPI they got better but still not prefect. I am not sure if the black vinyl will get better or it is just a faulty pressing in general
