Released on the tiny and short-lived Quebec micro-label PAX.........who released just a handful of obscure and eclectic (and now rare) LP's in the early 70's (Kiowarini, Paul Lauzon, Maurice Desjardins).........."Peuple Quebecois, Prions" was a mock gospel rock mass recorded by comedy duo Charlotte Lapointe and Hervé Doucet (ex Les Frères Flamingo).

Charlotte & Hervé were one of the most popular cabaret comedy acts in Quebec in the 60's & 70's along with acts like Les Jérolas, Ti-Gus & Ti-Mousse and Les Freres Flamingo. Recorded live in a Montreal cathedral, the duo runs through 14 numbers (both spoken word & musical), mocking the then-current and popular Rock Mass fad.
* Includes a few solid musical blues rock / rock n' roll numbers, and one 'spoken word' track which is featured on Mucho Gusto's excellent Xian folk-rock-psych compilation, "Resurrection", and featured at web-based Museum of Canadian Music
