Here's another comment moogacid; Santonio's (& many other artists of the time) output often get's overlooked by newcomers, due to the understandable attention on what I like to call Detroit's 'Golden Triangle' (Saunderson/May/Atkins). This is perhaps one of my favourite Detroit gems, for 'Where It's At', which sounds something like a Smurph village being brutally pounded by the marching samba drums of war... Live as hell & completely mental. If you take into consideration the exotic European sounds that were partly fuelling Cities like Detroit & Chicago during the lead in to this period in dance music, then this makes even more sense; it could even be among the most definitive examples of Detroit Techno. Either way, they sure don't make em' like this any more... q=^(i)

'That's Where It's At' is dope - tight, programmed, jacking drums with loose-as-fuck handplayed synths N piano on top
wickedness : )
