This is my second Sault album (I also have '5') and the production quality is really high on this one. Zero noise. Warm, deep sound. Great pressing. Also replaced the paper inners.

I preordered a white vinyl copy through Rough Trade's US store. It finally arrived yesterday, but it's unsealed, and a sticker of some kind has clearly been removed from the opened shrink wrap.
Makes me suspect that the pressing plant (or somebody?) screwed up in separating & properly labeling the white & black vinyl copies. So, once they caught on, Rough Trade had to open their remaining copies & check them visually.
Worked out fine for me; I got the white vinyl version I ordered. But maybe others didn't?

I'm just wondering how you tell the different variants apart? I have a supposed white variant from Rough Trade East that has the same barcode as a black one bought from Banquet Records. The RT version does has a sticker on the front, however, saying FL00005LPW. Is that the only way to tell if it is white? I mean anyone could have put the wrong sticker on..

Sonically fabulous. Light surface noise was eliminated by a thorough clean and replacing the damaging paper inners with the kinder anti-static variety. Sit back and enjoy one of the finest albums of recent years.

My copy isn't warped at all. Both LPs are perfectly flat, though rather noisy on first spin. Lots of soft ticks on all 4 sides. No skips, non-fill or loud pops, thankfully, but the surface noise is quite noticeable between tracks and during quieter passages (probably should have cleaned them first).
