Criminally underrated release!!!!, can't help but investigate the users who rated this classic a 1/5 and sure enough they rate the blandest most boring and forgettable electro tracks 5 stars, oh well there is no accounting for spectacularly bad taste!!!!
now back to this masterpiece, yes, masterpiece, this is the sort of trance you just never hear anymore, this type of trance was produced for a few short years in the early, mid 90's, trance that that is truly evocative in that it can conjure an image/place or an event in your mind,.The Alpha mix is the best mix, right from the outset of the intro you know this is proper trance with all the elements perfectly placed with very earthy sounding synths, the 4/4 kicks & african bongo percussion kick it off until tribal singing starts.Regarding the singing in this track which i recently discussed with a friend, sounds more like it was sampled from somewhere in the Pacific and most likely Melanesia somewhere like PNG Solomon Islands/Guadalcanal area , but regardless of where it's sampleD from it works very well. 5/5
Apparently this track is more well know than i thought however iv'e heard people who know jack shit about music refer to this as the "ethnic song"!!! ( I find that so fucking irritating in their general ignorance),there is nothing ethnic about it, Bacchanal is trance, pure and simple!!!!
