Live in Die Baptisten in Berlin „Friedenskirche Charlottenburg“ 10-04-2106
The live concert of Hortus Conclusus Records (Sean Derrick Cooper Marquardt, Braghsdn and Globoscuro) with the metaphysical guiding voice of the great slovenian artist Aphra Tesla, that took place at "Die Baptisten In Berlin - Friedenskirche Charlottenburg - on april 10th 2016, is certainly an inspired and poetic work of radical improvisation. An intriguing experiment soaked in concrete/psychedelic/noise/electronic sounds in which the whole perception is both mystical and ritualistic as well as caressed by the bizarre and abstract glimpse of creativity arose from the strong personality of each one of the artists. The wavering "crescendo and glissando" of the charming vocal symphony, the curvilinear convulsions of a tortured rebec and a cosmic kalimba, the rhythmic noisy protrusion of the electric guitar, the insinuating minimalism of the steel-guitar, make this a cavernous and strikingly "madness-affirming" sonic path. In-between these whirling entities, a stormy nucleus of soothing ambient is detectable at time, like a sort of tastefully antediluvian light that fills the gaps, serving as a bridge from darkness into neon-lit skies and lysergic dreamy universes.
