Scourge of the Formless Breed marks the third full-length studio release by Septycal Gorge. If you are searching for brutality and intense blast beating with riffs soaring all over the place, Scourge of the Formless Breed hits home. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by the band, this album shows a fast and furious brutal death metal which is a heavy punch in the face. Not only a hard one, but also an accurate one. The nine songs, clocking in at just barely thirty minutes, are characterized by pummeling rhythms and tempos, as well as slam transitions, and they all flow so well into each other that the end result is enjoyable. Septycal Gorge did an excellent job on this record. Songs retain a sense of structure throughout, thus leading to the music staying inside your head for many minutes after a song has ended. The record features a very well-played death metal and has only little low moments. Overall, Scourge of the Formless Breed is a good release and you will not be disappointed by its intensity.
