How common are factory samples and normal versions with the Chris Thomas miscredit? I'm seeing these appear often on eBay a lot recently? Are these possible fakes?

Brian Southall's (EMI executive at the time) ”Sex Pistols – 90 Days At EMI” states it was 2,000 copies in black cover.
