Only six tracks were ever recorded for POSH BOY, and these ended up as the 7" SINGLE I LOVE AMERICA / REAGAN COUNTRY, with the other tracks surfacing on RODNEY ON THE ROQ VOL 2, THE FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT CASSETTE, and later THE FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHTER LP and eventually years later the 6 track 12" ep known as the POSH BOY ep

A 12" ep was scheduled for release by POSH BOY IN 1981/82 but nothing ever came of it, likewise an LP on POSH BOY was also talked of but came to zero.

On this BOOTLEG CD the VOL 1 STUDIO SIDE tracks, have all had the original vocal tracks RE-MIXED / ENHANCED and compared to the original vinyl, in my humble opinion, these tracks are a lot poorer for it - if it 'aint broke don't fix it ! - the music tracks are the same, they just decided to mess with the vocals.

The track NO FUN NO FRIENDS VOL 1 LP STUDIO SIDE, on the original vinyl LP the intro in a Farmers/ Country Bar has lots of people talking & one person clearly says "Yeah- got a new tractor down there on the Farm !" - this line is missing from the version on this CD - don't know why it was omitted ???

The first track RIGHT IS RIGHT (POSH-BOY) is actually missing the first few Drum roll bars into the song - guess they cut it so everything squeezes onto the CD ?

Trivial thing i know, but that's what sharing information is all about ! - Enjoy !!!!!!!!!

I believe this CD has the following releases on it: Shattered Faith "Live!," "Volume II," and the "6 Song EP" (which contained the "I Love America/Reagan Country" single among those 6 songs). There are also 3 songs from different compilations with 1 song each from the "Taking Out A Little Agresion: A Tribute to Agresion" (Secret Sex), "Who Cares" (Discontent), and the "All For One... One For All" (Too Tense, the studio version) compilations. It's just difficult to ascertain what is what because of the random order, and some ambiguous song titles.

Now there are a few inconsistencies to be aware of. Track 16 on this CD is credited as "Hard to See." I believe this is actually the song "Hard to be Free" from the "Live!" album. I've examined their discography, and Shattered Faith does not perform a song titled Hard to See; I can't find it on any of their other releases or compilations. And if you listen to the song, the lyrics clearly say "hard to be free." Also the "Live!" album had an intro track as the first song (it ran like 30 seconds), and this intro didn't appear to make in into the song listings. It's on the CD, it's just included as part of the first live song (Too Tense). All of the last 6 songs (tracks# 23-28) are live and are placed at the end of the CD. These 6 songs are the only ones in the "basically" identical order as the original album they were taken from (Side A of the "Live!" album), everything else is all mixed up. They probably kept all these tracks in the original order to maintain a continuity of sound, but I can only conjecture as to the reason why. Lastly, on the "6 Song EP," the song "Reagan Country" is listed as "Reagan in '81." It's titled correctly on this CD but is perhaps incorrect on that album's song title listings. At least, I believe my assertions are correct. It seems very implausible that they would put on 5 songs from the "6 Song EP" and leave off just the one, or that they would remove the 30 second "Intro" track from the live performance when they didn't tamper with anything else, and put on the whole rest of the album. If you seek out the songs online, you'll see what I mean, "Reagan Country" or "Reagan in '81" will always be the same track despite any variance in title, and the intro from the "Live!" record will sound the same as what's featured here.

Overall, it's a great CD, but I think there are some aspects that are lackluster in quality. They didn't even get the song titles right. And I think they should have just left everything in the order of their individual releases. Mixing everything up just made determining what's actually on here more confusing, and I don't think it added any extra dimension to the music, which is great enough to stand on its own.
