As with the previous EP I reviewed by this group, they create a danceable, catchy sound with a Hard-Core. Unlike that previous release, the hardness is far more obvious on this CD, harkening towards a Rock influence while maintaining a clear electronic dance superstructure. Tracks seem to harken away from neat linear structures while throwing in no disruptive surprises. "Rezonator (PCM Mix)" hints at NINE INCH NAILS-influence while keeping their own flowing sound. The addition of what sounds like guitar adds a slightly more dangerous edge to it, sounding more lethal & machine-like than the electronics themselves. "C. Of Love" again has a combination of NIN and, say MURDER INC set against an EBM backdrop. Subject matter here is religion, yet as with previous SHOCK CORRIDOR material, the sampled voice/tapes are far more interesting than the usual Evangelical ranting.. "Demon Ex Machina (Hellbound V2)" has a fast rhythm'n'beat witty lyrics & a blistering savage fuzz sound. While SHOCK CORRIDOR break no real new ground, they manage to inject their own personality - intelligent, maybe cynical, maybe a touch nasty - into this corner of the Hardcore Techno field. A good tight sound with a few nice twists & turns.
