The trio was written at the beginning of 2001 during a lecture of the jazz department of the University of the Arts Berlin on the topic "Communication in a jazz ensemble". The resulting musical result led the three musicians to perform a recording session in a Berlin studio. The recorded material consists in part of Brahms compositions arranged by Peter Weniger, of original compositions by Sigi Busch and of compositions that arose in the manner of "instant composing" during the recording. Sigi Busch then said: "With We are very satisfied with the musical quality, which is the best recording I've done so far, and it seems like something very special happened at the moment of recording.
