Sounds better than the 2014 reissue. Volume is a bit lower but the dynamic range is much better. It sounds wide and airy. Great release.

Never imagined Magnifishit actually sounds so much thinner without the vocal

Sounds great. No surface noise at all. Bass is a bit heavy but that might just be the mastering.

If SP released this album in strange quality, they wanted everyone to hear that special sound - quiet and dirty sometimes, they are so conceived specially. That's my opinion

Yes, i agree entirely with the previous poster.

Speaking specifically about the sound quality of the vinyl release… it is lacking. Very QUIET mix. Could have easily made it a 2xLP record to enhance the quality. simmilar problem they had with Rabies. It almost seems like the second disc was put there as an apology for those who wanted the vinyl. the CD copy is not this way and I would reccomend listening to that version of the album over this. The records themselves looks very cool, a nice diarrea brown. and cool to see the art in full LP size. Really wish they would release HanDover on vinyl now. That album would look awesome in a FOLDoutLP jacket.

For some reason they crammed the whole album on just two sides, so everything sounds pretty much flat - in contrast with the Politikil Remix which fills a whole side at 45 and rocks the house.

I personally believe that this album is a huge pile of shit. The very first track is so laughably bad it almost isn't even that funny anymore. The creepy, atmospheric vocals of 80's/early 90's Ogre have been reduced to...well, someone trying to sing who cannot sing. The music itself is so bland, and at times just plain awful (Haze, Jaher...are you fucking kidding me?). I remember when this album came out I was so excited because TGWOTR had some good songs...and then I realized they had, inevitably, become complete shit.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Skinny Puppy has been trying to identify what it was to be without Dwayne Goettel. I feel like The Process and, to a lesser degree, The Greater Wrong of the Right, were the Kevins trying hard to be what Dwayne would have want them to be. With Mythmaker they seemed to have waken up and decided to make the music that they love. This is less industrial than a more hardcore electronica with industrial elements. And I love it!!! I've been following Skinny Puppy for a long long time and I really feel like this is a major tipping point. I can't wait to see this live!!!!!
