One of the best electronic producers and full on nice guy. RIP Slacker Shem. I cried when you left us. XX

Girl Vocal Sample is from a 1966 spoken word album called LSD which is a collection of interviews etc with people like Timothy Leary and users of LSD. Also used on Porcupine Tree's "Voyage 34" (phase II)

The Lonely Traveller Mix is the one to head straight to here. It build with those classic Slacker beat and twangy bass with eerie vocal samples scattered across the top, then i ncomes the infamous "NOW DANCE...UNTIL THE END" sample, after that, its full on hedonistic pleasure as that beautiful breakdown creeps in. I remember hearing this on the Alex P & Brandon Block essential mix on Radio 1 from January 1997. It was a track that just stopped me in my tracks, i had to find out what it was.

I recently dug it out, t still holds up today in terms of production quality, its very tight. I would like to know if the vocal snipetts were samples from something, they sound like they are.

Overall, a top tune, definately worthy of classic status, i'm amazed no one has sampled that breakdown aswell. Very dark, but very beautiful.
