Genuinely one of the best soundtracks ever made that is without a doubt totally unlike anything I've ever heard before! Not to mention that the film is also one of the most notable cult-classics of the 80's.

Bizzare film, and equally bizzare soundtrack. Fascinating visuals and sound, the film chronicles some electro new wave freaks in NYC's late 70s early 80s disco scene descending deeper and deeper into insanity, thanks to some aliens taking over their bodies. Well aliens, drugs, and parties actually. The soundtrack is raw, primitive synth minimal style at times, and more atmospheric and mechanical musicbox -like at other times.

Today's "experimental" electronic producer's take note: it is possible to create a serious work that doesn't take itself too seriously.

This has to be one of, if not the best, cult/art films ever made. The soundtrack alone is amazing, still haven't read the book written by Anne Carlisle yet but will as soon as i can find a copy worth buying.
