In my opinion this is quite simply one of the best thrash albums ever created. Beginning with a killer riff and Tom Araya's unearthly opening salvo, through to the relatively short but epic Raining Blood, this release is unrelenting in its power, consistency and brutality.

It's quite difficult to pick just a few highlights from this release as practically every song is superb in its own right. The tunes are classic and memorable, Lombardo's drumming enhancing the power and Araya's lyrical brilliance and vocal delivery serving as the icing on the cake.

This is one release that every self respecting metalhead should have in their collection.
