00BEWCIJYX3 Slayer - World Painted Blood B0018218-02 (2014) CD versus SICP 2253 (2009) mp3 Versus 88697413182 (2009) mp3:
To my ears, they all have the exact same non-remastered sound. Loud Mastering. ///

00BEWCJ84X3 Slayer - Christ Illusion B0018219-02 (2007) CD Non-Remaster. Compared with WPCR-12366 (Japan 2006 press) ///

00BV2B7EEX3 God Hates Us All 3735223 (2001) CD Versus 3145863312 (2001) CD: Both have the same non-remastered sound. ///

Slayer - Soundtrack To The Apocalypse B0001519-02 ST01 (2003):
Disc 1, Disc 2, Disc 3 are all remastered.
The Shit you've never seen DVD sounds Non-Remastered. It was a hard one to evaluate. Comparing old leaked videos and other more recent ones to it. I was unable to make sure because the VHS boots were the copy of the copy of the copy of the copy of the copy. The Shit you've never seen DVD sounds tremendous and is no rip off through. The other discs of this box set is a remastered rip off and is of no use when you know the crazy great non-remastered versions of 'em. ///

Write 'Slayer Seeds Of Horror The Jeff Hanneman Demos 1985' to secretly enter a boot area in discogs and see what is secretly remastered and what is not on this unbelievably great old boot.

Questions regarding bonus tracks of World Painted Blood and B-Sides of its singles.
Spirit Of Metal mentions that Atrocity Vendor is a bonus track on a limited edition of the full length album.
Metal Archives lists the B-Sides to the Psychopathy Red single as B1-untitled. B2-untitled in reverse.
RateYourMusic mentions that on the World Painted Blood single there is two different versions of Atrocity Vendor on different versions of the single. One is stated as being an explicit version.
Now, as a smalltime collecter I have been misinformed before by sellers about B-Sides so before I spend big on "unique versions" of the exact same recording, can anyone please verify that these tracks do in fact exist? I have noticed that I could not find these specific tracks anywhere in the relevant sections in Discogs, who I am extremely loyal to above all other sites 😉😉

PROABLY THE LAST GREAT ALBUM SLAYER WILL EVER PUT OUT. EVER SINCE HANNEMAN DIED. KERRY KING IS MARKETING THE SHIT OUT EVERYTHING SLAYER. WHEN I SEE "SCION" CARS,ARE A SLAYER SPONSOR. THATS WHEN I HEARD THE 3rd. WHEEL COME OFF. THE 1ST-DAVE LOMBARDO QUITING AGAIN,THE PASSING OF THE LAYE GREAT JEFF HANNEMAN & 3RD.- THERE NEW ALBUM. WHEN SLAYER HAS TO PUT AN INSTRUMENTAL ON ANYTHING,IS SHOWING THAT THEY ARE NOT SONG WRITERS. JEFF WAS!!!!! IM SEEING THEM IN OCTOBER W/ANTHRAX & DEATH ANGLE. & I'LL BET ANTHRAX MAKES SLAYER LOOK LIKE KIDS IN A SANDBOX. OTHER THAN BEING THE MOST EXPEREMENTAL SLAYER ALBUM TO DATE,THE SHORT MOVIE ALMOST MAKES UP FOR THE MUSIC.

I have this record however, my copy has the labels on the record reversed, where side A is actually side B, and side B is side A. I am curious if anyone else has encountered this issue or is my copy one of a kind? If so, how would I go about appraising such an item? I've done a Google search and I can find no information about reversed labels on this album.

I was surprised to find that there are no reviews of this CD on Discogs, as there are many reviews elsewhere. So I'm here to put that right ;)

I'll be the first to admit that other forms of music exceed my total metal collection. However, I've been a Slayer fan since before 1985's "Hell Awaits", and I own all their albums, and more. So anyone who quickly views my Discogs collection and thinks that I am not well-placed to review this album... think again ;) I've never stopped listening to metal (I still go to metal gigs regularly), it's just that I also have other musical interests.

Every Slayer fan will agree that their output has been variable throughout the years, and their releases are always compared to the masterpiece that was "Reign In Blood", a milestone in metal and indeed rock music generally. The band has produced plenty of excellent music since then, but even I will agree that they have never equalled that ground-breaking 1986 release.

This album, however, possibly comes closest. "Reign In Blood" was the first album I had ever listened to in its entirety, upon first listening; it was so astounding, that I simply couldn't leave the turntable until it had finished. After which, I simply put the record back on again, for yet another spin. No other Slayer album had that effect on me since then.

Until this one, that is.

Played this one in its entirety, then put it straight back on again. There's not many albums I've done that with, and not for many years.

I'm sure that many Slayer fans have hoped for a second "Reign In Blood" to appear one day. This, however, is not quite it, but it comes as close as they may ever come to matching that album, especially as they may call it a day during the next few years. If anything, I'd describe this release as "the album which South Of Heaven should have been", rather than a second "Reign In Blood".

Fast, aggressive and brutal, with the intense technical riffing every Slayer fan knows and loves, this album simply obliterates everything which stands in its way, from the opening notes of the title track, to the closer "Not Of This God" - which sounds so similar to "Angel Of Death" at the beginning, I really expected Tom Araya to scream. But he didn't :) Perhaps I shall remix the track and add the aforementioned scream, hehe ;)

Unfortunately, even this album isn't perfect; "Americon" is a little on the dull side, but passes quickly, and doesn't do much damage to the rest of the album. If only that track had been replaced with a track as intense as "Psychopathy Red", we would indeed have had the equal of that 1986 classic we all know and love.

As we can't give 9.5/10 on Discogs, this gets a 5/5, because this album definitely deserves more than just 4/5.

One of the most enjoyable metal albums of the last 10 years, and definitely my favourite Slayer album since the early 1990s.
