The term "classical" in the electronic music context usually has everyone snigger. Understandably too: it too often means dodgy happy-hardcore (is there some non-dodgy one anyway?) or lame post-1997 trance that dare hack well-known classical pieces, looping a sample into an extremely irritating heresy.
Zhark International had already hosted pieces that were more spot on, although relatively shy on the (modern) classical tip. Slutmachine pushes all that further and delivers compositions in which the rhythmic noise part is solely a collateral force to original classical melodies. The result is deadly right. The rhythmic parts are still there, making the whole danceable in the proper environment, yet not intrusive enough to not let the mind wander alongside the melody under other circumstances.
Excellence.
