A single track flexi disc with a slowly pounding beat over which wailing 'Lost Soul' horns rise on morose updrafts and fade like vapour, a little like the opening to TG's "Heathen Earth", or the music PSYCHIC TV did with Tibetan Horns of human femur, only I hate to say it, but SMELL & QUIM probably achieve more with their muted, choked atmosphere than both of those classic tracks put together. It has a 'Dark Ages - Black Death' feel to it and comes highly recommended. The only problem is the notoriously low quality of 'Flexis' - and this one is no exception. They really ought to rerelease it on ordinary vinyl with another track on the other side, because it's damn good.
