DJ & Producer and all round nice guy, Alex Hazzard was an up and coming DJ who liked to play hard, and I mean nose bleed hard, and if you loved Techno you needed to experience Alex live. Alex used to DJ all over, but my best memory was a night at the Legendary 'Sterns' where Alex tore the roof of the place on a regular basis. Alex was friends with Ron aka Jack Smooth, so that's how the 'Smooth but Hazzardous' name came about.
The title track 'Smooth but Hazzardous' was an instant hit with the DJs with its rapid' beats and tear out Bass and Rons vocals. However over time 'Made U Dance' became the Anthem track from the EP, which is no surprise when you hear this masterpiece out at a Rave, a monstrous floor killer. The final track from the EP 'Violent Headrush' once again brings together some great Stabs, rockin' Beats and flanged Bass Lines creating a dance floor hit and another Basement Classic.
