this is a highly underrated and overlooked song by snap in my opinion, and more than sad that the planned follow-up album "one day on earth" was cancelled due to the bad selling of this maxi, would have loved to listen to this!

of course, the track is (what was obviously intended by the producers) very similar to "destiny's child bug a boo", that i always liked (although normally not the kind of stuff i listen to), but i like "gimme a thrill" even more, it's more energetic and i'm happy that snap is catchin' me again after 1990-1992 when i was a young boy of 12 years and totally fascinated and influenced by the fantastic first releases.

and again, it shines through the music, that michael münzing is a true genius with great music taste and massively influenced by (quality) us releases, what he proved again and again with his dj sets in the legendary music hall (mid 80s), releases like "curare - visions and dreams", productions like off/16 bit and finally snap. more productions like that, and i could imagine to listen to commercial music again - respect!
