referencing The King Of Rock N' Soul, LP, Album, RE, SD 8096

This re-named version of the classic 'Rock n Soul' album by Solomon Burke features alternative takes of the tracks listed on the original release. Although these were probably recorded at the time of the takes that form that original LP, there's no doubt that the arrangements and mix-downs are different from the earlier release and probably should have remained unreleased given that they are entirely lesser in quality and could easily have diminished the reputation of both the artiste and the songs themselves which would have been an absolute tragedy for the gems that exist on the essential item that is the original.
