Protien (Get Stuck In Mix)

The best version of this track by far. Samples the Blapps Posse 'Bus' It', Lost 'The Gonzo' AKA Steve Bicknell, Renegade Soundwave 'The Phantom', Happy Mondays 'Hallelujah', the stab sequence from a 1990 Dutch house/techno track (the name which escapes me) topped off with a massive bass drop... Rearranges it all and makes all those samples its very own. Screams 1991. One of the most memorable warehouse tracks of that year. Thunderous.

The flipside is your more typical amen breakbeat, bass n bleep, stab affair.

Samples include:

Winstons "Amen Brother" drum break which became extremely popular the following year...
Master C&J Dub Love / Neon Voices synth pattern.
The synth stabs from another Dutch techno track. The name which escapes me once again, something on Stealth Records I think?
The Prodigy 'Everybody In The Place' synth (from the original and BEST!!! version).
