Toll is certainly a big tune if you're into your dark tunes. Whether it's down to a poor pressing or just the production values the sound doesn't really punch as it should but it's a complex tune with lots going on although as such needs to be mixed carefully to avoid clashes. Ghost of T&O is also a nice tune with a more minimal arrangement which I sort of prefer and it goes well into some of early jungle tunes like Champion Sound. I wasn't initially taken with the Dreamfinder remix but on a good setup you can detect a surprising range of sub base which balances well with the melody.

Toll is one of my favourite tracks of '93. Well ahead of its time for it's level of darkness but in-keeping with a hardcore state of mind. It's an interesting point in time when rave music had real power and a darkness without fully turning into 'renegade snares'. The chiming notes throughout the track have an essentially catchy nature to them that makes it hard not to get mentally drawn into them. Quality rhythmical hardcore. Only 'Rhythm Section (2) ‎– The Chainsaw / Rhythm Takes Control (Hard Mixes)' came close to the level of rolling rhythm but lacked this release's dark notes.
