It´s the "MOS" release of this jam, and it´s awesome !! ... Got some new takes on the A side, by "Sure Is Pure" ... Good as that is, the B1 "Club Mix" is a hard jam to follow :):) ... (I call the B1 as original) ... Loud as hell though, this B1 sounds even better than the original US pressing !! ... You also get a beachy "D.J. Zki & Dobre" mix !! ... Top Rekurd !! ... // Tommy

Full Intention Club Mix has a skip on my copy. It's not a physical skip either so there must have been an error on the original WAV or DAT Tape.

The Fresh Fruit Deep Mixes are something of beauty, deep house sooooooooo ahead of it's time for 1993. Played by John Digweed and Deep Dish at the time so had that slight progressive feel and influence. I still play today.

One of the only songs that can make you feel so happy yet so sad at the same time, pure bliss.

I'm surprised there's no love for the Sure Is Pure Dub in the comments. Maybe it was just big up north.

One of the very best Garage/House records ever made.
The Night Mix is the one for me - as soon as you hear it you know you are in for something special.
Simple bass loop and percussion building until the vocal drops that is just heavenly.
All time classic and one of my all time favorite records.
A must listen too & one for your collection.
PS. The 20 Year of Strictly (Daniel Bovie & Roy Rox Remix) is worth a listen too.

Any feedback on the digital remastering quality compared to the original?

This German CD maxi single features both versions of the original SR12179, as well as the Fresh Fruit versions. The club mix (not found on the Dutch release) sounds more like 90s Philly disco than house. It has a lot more melody in it than the more popular Night mix (not found on the UK release), of which the radio version was made. It became the first Strictly Rhythm record to chart in the Netherlands, a couple of weeks before Reel 2 Real's worldwide hit "I Like To Move It".

The Fresh Fruit versions were made by the founders of the label with that same name: DJ Zki & Dobre (also successful as The Goodmen, Rene et Gaston and Klatsch!). Their versions leave out most of the vocals; it feels like the main character is now standing all alone in the desert... giving a new approach to the original emotion.

Somehow, Strictly Rhythm decided not to release the Fresh Fruit versions on their label. On the other hand, SR rewarded Zki & Dobre later on when they licensed their track "Do You Know What I Mean", recorded as "Fresh Tunes #1", and released it as SR12246 with new mixes by Armand van Helden and Humpty & Vission.

On my copy there's a significant drop in volume about half way into the Night Mix. That and both labels claim to be 33rpm when neither of them are. It's like they just didn't give a fuck.
