As noted on this site, some copies of this release are faulty. Having bought my copy about 8 years ago in a second hand store, I assumed someone had damaged it with a CD scratch remover, as the discs seemed to look and feel 'worn', almost as if it had been scoured away. I am surprised to learn that my copy is not alone!

Thankfully my copy plays up to about Track 7, although stutters and skips its way through much of Track 6 too. I'm not sure if every copy was the same, but mine has a sort of 'worm' like pattern just under the surface of the plastic, almost like very fine, curly hairs. Here's a tip from experience: Don't breathe on the disc surface to clean it - my breath hit the disc and has remained inside ever since!! The worm-like pattern seems to have trapped the moisture, resulting in a disc permanently looking as if it is covered in condensation!

Listen to it right now...and this album kills...definitly a must have for all the funky people ot there...very unique and well balanced release...go and get it...it`s cheap(why?) and superb..maybe a little bit underrated on this site here.Go and have a listen for your self...you won´t be dissaponted..TRUST ME!...or maybe I`m just high and lounging;)....Here and there some guitarspacefunk with super danceable elements from all genres ranging in the goa/trance/break/downtempo/tribal universe!

Well suited for fans of chilled Eat Static and Ozric Tentacles...maybe for some suomi fans too...thinking of the newer Haltya stuff with more eyes on the spot/core of feeling good and get a dance in the woods or beach ,whatever! The groove is superb here!

And it´s all about GROOVE!

Just sit back and relax...!

NICE ONE 4,5/5 !!!

I got this album when catching sight of it from nothing other than Discog's recommendation feature when I was browsing stuff by the likes of Juno Reactor, Son Kite, Koxbox, etc. Not knowing what to expect, I sat down for a listen and was very much impressed. A daring mixture of goa trance, downtempo, and funky tribal sounds all fused into a very original and enjoyable release that I have returned to many times since the first listen. I tend to gravitate towards Groover when mixing stuff of this style, but several other tracks are worthy of spin time and I still haven't utilized the album fully which gives me something to look forward to during my next psytrance set. Blue Room Released has a strong reputation and for good reason, they get their hands on truly unique material and Diffuse is one of those gems.
