Just got a copy of this on vinyl after too many years and upon listening again to the first two albums which I got when they were released. A nice way to complete a trilogy of timeless classis. All tracks are deep, long and extremely well produced. Call it what you will, but good tunes will always stand up to the test of time.

Thought I would get reacquainted with Glue Gun. Now nice and sticky. Slipped into a bit of Spy on Spy action and now dripping.

Released 1996. Listened 2014: After all these years 'Spy vs Spy' still sounds modern, different, interesting, and dam good even today! Excellent production that integrates techno, trance, with hints of Idm and an ambient edge that's perfect for modern experimental club-dance music and for listeners who have innovative music minds. Music can sometimes be quiet off-key along with twists & turns that flourish with a complex Si-Fi hi-tech music design with its whirlwind of drum programmed robotic beats, laser precession trance synth, plus calculated mathematical sequences of patterns of techno with added moments of Idm, and not forgetting the dense desolate layer of ambient atmosphere that's thrown into the rhythmic-beat structure at times. This certainly is not the usual 90's techno/trance dance club sound (+). This is music that has had its boundaries pushed into a new futuristic alien hi-tech techno/trance territory that delivers a pounding, tense and sharp sounding listen at times, even challenging, but always controlled and calculated that's kept focused even when edging towards uncharted techno/trance territories with its originality and new ideas. The album may take a few spins to really absorb and appreciate, but it will be worth the effort, delivering a unique listen into si-fi futuristic electronic music as if it was sent back to the past but came from a distance future!
