Notes

One late december Spilt Milk set out to record a bunch of songs loosely related by the subject of death. Funeral Blues once again features their custom adaptations of old poetry, from the times when "poets, they studied rules of verse, and those ladies, they rolled their eyes." Boasting a more folksy, jangly sound than on their debut EP Carnet de Voyage, Funeral Blues throws the spotlight on the talents of vocalist Brenda Bosma. The rest of the band provide a sweet and soothing backdrop against which her natural instinct for melody softly shines. All of which make for another timeless classic of a record.
