I alternate between Focus and Voyage as my all time favorite Stan Getz records. Very, very different but both are classics. If you can only have two Stan Getz recordings these are the two you should have. Voyage is a more modern studio recording which brings more intimacy and depth to the sound where Focus is all about the compositions and the performance, not the sound itself. Voyage is small ensemble playing at its best. Focus is Getz improvising "inside" of Eddie Sauter's rich, string orchestral compositions. Very different, but both very classic Stan Getz.
