My copy of this pressing sounds very good but does suffer from IGD at the end of each side

Sounds like crap. My dad's copy from 77 that sat in a garage for decades sounds better than this after thoroughly cleaning both. Bad IGD, some pops throughout the title track as well. Very disappointed as this is one of my favorite albums.

No IGD on mine either, quality is good. No noise.

Sounds crisp through out. No IGD on mine. Dead silent. Playing on Technics sl-1500c and a vm540ml. Replaced original bought in the 70s and disappeared in college.

I had this copy recently, but I preferred the sound of my AB1006 R-3 original pressing, so I sold this one on. Not bad, but not nearly as good as the original pressing.

My copy sounds great except for a bit of noise in the lead-in on both sides. I have been listening hard for the IGD mentioned by some users but I have not noticed anything. Still, I’d appreciate if someone could tell me how such effect is perceived. Thanks.

Damned Greg Moore... I have at440 and technics 1210 and on my IDG-resistant setup I also have this inner groove distortion. Definitely fault of cutting the master. I have hundreds of LPs packed almost up to label with no such issues.

I have the same problem as described by others here, and it sounds "dull" and not crisp like the original.

Does anyone else think this reissue sounds a bit flat compared to the original? The original is the type of album you use to show off your system. This import reissue does not have same punch. If you are not used to the original I'm sure you would be happy with it. So far I am disappointed after spending $35 for a new copy. Does anyone know of a good website to refer to and get reviews before buying online. In the old days I could have walked this back to the record store and exchanged it for something different.

Yep...got that distortion at the end of each side as well. I must say it's kinda off-putting after the crystal clarity and crispness of the first couple of tracks. Nevertheless, an essential purchase, I think.
