Notes

Faint sideways "S" (squiggle) in runouts indicates pressing from Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Santa Maria

There are two different labels both came out the same year.
1st Pressing: This version with black babels, where all tracks (including credits) have two lines of text (excluding B5 which has three). This is different than Pretzel Logic or Pretzel Logic, both black labels where multiple tracks have three lines of text on both sides.
2nd Pressing: See Pretzel Logic for Santa Maria pressing with with same text layout, but having the multi-colored concentric circles ABC label.

The album where The Dan runs outta gas in the writing room as they are touring tons. As a result we get some really old songs they wrote in the 60's spruced up brilliantly. Horace Silver tribute "Rikki Don't Lose..." becomes one of a most beloved hit however....go figure....the odds&sods album that garnered their amazing Beatles homage: Charlie Freak, also includes a tribute to another Charlie (Parker). let's talk about the music:
Even under torture I couldn't say,
which of the first 7 albums of this unique
band is the best, they all belong to a thing
called heaven.
But maybe this is the best!
(o.k., torture me further on).

On the ABC 1st pressing (black label) should the 'A2' noted above actually be an 'AZ'? Looks like allan zentz' initials perhaps?
