A brilliant first album by an unacknowledged master. Stephen W Tayler (not to be confused with 'Steve Taylor', a musician with a similar-sounding name) has worked behind-the-scenes with some of the world's most successful artists. This debut album represents a whole lifetime's achievement in thinking about sound. The last track even features a sample of Stephen's voice, singing the part of 'The Boy' from the Kurt Weill opera 'Der Jasager' at New College Oxford forty years ago - at the age of eight! Haunting. Highly recommended.
