Steve Earle in the 1980s meant a lot for country music. As Waylon Jennings a decade earlier, he released this music style of commercial and smooth overproductions and put here a rock oriented ' outlaw'-aesthetics opposite. He is a talented singer/songwriter and also worked as a producer with many artists. Some appeared on his own label with which he stimulated a new wave of progressive country. He is also a passionate political activist who is committed to the fight against multiple abuses.
