1. Funny O Holy Night
2. Funny O Holy Night (Karaoke Version)

Recorded at Oak Valley Studio ca. 1989/1990.

The track was originally recorded as part of a project called Sing Noël, a Christmas album by the Christ Church Choir released on Star Song. It featured the choir singing with soloist Guy Penrod. The final session for the long recording process featured Penrod's overdub of his solo part. Wanting to blow off some steam before starting the mixing process, engineer Kevin McManus challenged Steve Mauldin to sing higher than Penrod had. Mauldin recorded the "spoof" vocal for fun with the intention of sharing it with close friends and family.

Eventually the track found its way to radio stations, and then onto the Internet with various people claiming to be the singer. In 2007, Steve revealed himself as the singer (without giving his last name) after another musician Fred McKinnon had been wrongly credited (due to the song being hosted on his blog since 2004). In late 2009, Steve finally revealed all the details of the recording project in a YouTube video where he recreated his performance and provided further proof.
