This is a quite a curious release from Revenge. In 1988 this was one of the five or six circulated audience recordings of the Stooges 1973 line-up on cassette so it was a delight to see a low generation copy of the recording put to cd. Whilst it is a reasonable audience recording of one of the nights of the Stooges September stand at the Whiskey A Go Go in 1973 - for some reason the set list has been chopped and changed. For this reason it has created a disjointed document of a fiery and powerful performance by a vehement Stooges and because of that it falls short of what it could have been. Despite this it remains a useful document for those listeners wishing to take a trip back to 1973 and take in versions of the then recently released 'Raw Power' album and the newer in development tunes like 'Head On', 'Open Up and Bleed' and the marvellous 'Heavy Liquid' aka 'New Orleans'.
