Of the two Stunt Rock albums still in print, this one shows a lot more maturity than "The Pinnacle of Mediocrity" and the albums it took tracks from. While he continues to make jabs at labelmate and fellow breakcore/hardcore producer Venetian Snares, the album sees Stunt Rock dropping a lot of his reliance on naughty samples and full speed breaks. It's hard not to smile throughout the course of this album. From the intro of the album and the good choice in loops on "And If I Had No Real Job And No Mortgage Payment, Maybe I Could Also Sit Around Making Music All Day And Have A Release Every Other Month" to the vocals on tracks such as "I Will Make Up For A Lifetime Of Fucking Chicks Poorly By Having The Mostly Diverse CD Collection In The World," "First Chance I Get I Am Licensing This Track To A Car Commercial Or Video Game, So Fuck You And Your No Sell Out, Anti-Establishment Posturing, Or Some Such In Your Face Remark Of That Sort," and "Soundtrack For Nonexistent/Imaginary Midwest Underground Hardcore Electronic Scene," this album is pretty impressive. Fittingly, "A Funny Sample And A Bad Guitar Loop Do Not A Song Make" samples the bass from The Dead Milkmen's "Sri Lanka Sex Hotel" off Beelzebubba.
The three hands-down winners are:
"Legacy Of Stretch Marks, The": Starting with an acoustic guitar loop and blossoming into something weirder, much weirder, as it progresses, one cannot help but smile during the course of this song.
"Making Songs About Drinking Is Something Very Original And I Think It Will Expand My Musical Horizons Since I Have Never Made One Before": By the time that the choir(?) samples kick in, the song is hard not to smile at, once they do, it's impossible. And the song always makes me picture the gears of a giant moving neon sign that looks like somebody drinking beer.
"Someday You Are Going To Have A Party, And I Will Make A Point To Come Poop All Over It So You Can Know How It Feels": The song is very good with vocal samples taken from who knows where and a good use drum samples.
