'Past' encompasses all my impressions as well as dreams of what Cafe Del Mar is or was. A sublime chill out track. Should be on everyone's list of top chill out tracks of all time.

Inside Out and Inside Of This: are two of the most beautiful Progressive House tunes you will ever hear. The two tunes are segued for continuous listening bliss.
Past: is as Balearic as you're gonna get. Dreamy guitars, percussions, bongo drums and synth sounds. If there is one track you should take with you to a deserted island it should be this one.
Coast: is a nice, mainstream edging, Progressive House tune. It adds variation to the EP but takes back seat to the other 3 tunes.
Overall the production on this EP is outstanding!
This EP was only ever released on vinyl. All tunes except Inside Out are featured on Sub Sub's Full Fathom Five CD.

This would have to be one of the finest Progressive House EP's of 1992, if not all time! The quality of production on this entire EP is the finest you will ever come across. Classy tunes all round. Summer bliss. Both "Inside Out" and "Inside Of This" are the big stand out tunes on this EP. They've also, all so subtley, segued these two tunes for not stop listening bliss. The only place you'll find the track "Inside Out" is on this EP!! "Inside Of This" is featured on Sub Sub's CD "Full Fathom Five". Also included on this CD is the 3rd amazing tune found on the flip side of the Coast EP titled "Past". This tune is pure balaeric, lazing under the Ibiza sun, sipping on your favourite cocktail, bliss!! Ahhhhhhh......

Absolutely stunning EP of mellow funky beats. 'Past' is one of my all time favourite chill out tunes, a stunning ambient masterpiece with a sublime guitar that transports you to your favourite overseas destination. This is just pure balearic bliss throughout. Was as rare as rocking horse shit or you would almost certainly have had to pay top dollar for this record a a few years back. Sub Sub later went on to become the Doves (quite successful Indie band) but this is by far their finest moment.

"Past" is built like a standard pop song and clocks in at just about three minutes, but it stands the test of time. A tom-tom, shaker and hi-hat gently frame a bubbling bassline and an infectious, twanging guitar hook, with pads and train whistles rolling underneath. Sounds like a beach tune at first, but try playing it anywhere, anytime, to any one of your mates, and you'll see just how it fits with almost every place and mood. It's a song you can just curl up into like a favorite blanket. A wonderful, timeless tune which I'll be forever happy to dust off and share.
