Ugh, while I love some of our new stars I hate having to buy their stuff on vinyl because new pressings often suck. While this pressing, so far, isn't as bad as some, it has noise, despite being cleaned ultrasonically with an expensive cleaner. Mostly quiet, but in soft passages you can hear the rrrr noise sound. I guess I'll have to clean AGAIN with enzymes, but not stoked about the potential. Again, not nearly as bad as some new pressings, but not nearly as quiet as some vinyl from the 70's I just bought and cleaned at a garage sale. Are all new pressings going to suck ass? Very curious to find out which plant pressed this. As a DJ, what am I supposed to do? Vinyl can be king if it sounds good, and I'd rather play vinyl out than an MP3 (shudder) file (not that this came with a DL card) but seriously, if there's noise, am I supposed to pump that through a huge sound system? WTF

GAH! why is there rrrrrrrrr noise during slow spots?! so friggin' distracting and annoying. I hate newly pressed vinyl. Imagine: great music moves into quiet pause that responds with an shhhhhhttttttt noise sound, awesome that it's on beat! then back into music, then shtttttttt during quiet part then back into music. Awesome, and thanks to the artist for being so disconnected to not check the pressing and leave it up to record label. yeah. Can't wait to play this on a huge sound system, so we can all groove to the SHHHHHHHHHTTTTTT parts in the quiet passages at 100db. Gonna be great, thanks STONES THROW for cheaping out in the pressing game. Oh wait, it's colored vinyl because that's cool and will satisfy the newly vinyled nerds who don't know any better. yeah.

Oh wait, I'll just listen to the new FKA Twigs vinyl, which is dead quiet during the no music pauses, completely kicks the ass of this pressing by oh jesus amounts. And sheesh, my Black Flag BOOTLEG My War demos vinyl, listening now, is quieter than this during it's quiet parts.
