In credit lists of Sun Ra releases entered in discogs, Sun Ra is sometimes credited playing a Harp [Sun Harp]: the instrument was actually a Bandura, an ukrainian/bulgarian plucked string instrument he had baptized so (he can be seen playing it on the cover of Sun Ra And His Astro Infinity Arkestra* - Holiday For Soul Dance). In 1971 while in Egypt, he gave this "sun harp" as a present to Hartmut Geerken, who had organised the first invitation for the Arkestra there, and Geerken can be heard playing it on his lp Hartmut Geerken - Amanita.
