The Carl Cox remix of this is the definition of rave music to me, you'll recognise the wicked synth line from some hardcore tracks around the time that sampled it

picked up this release back around 2004. haven't a clue who these mixes are by and can't seem to find out. the trance mix is very good actually. nice and deep but uplifting at the same time. definitely the best of the 2002 mixes. for me its almost as good as the classic Boys Own and original mixes (i say almost because they can't and never will be bettered) . the progressive mix is decent as well all though for me the trance mix gets played the most. pick up this release if you can. dispite the mixes being unidentified i don't think you will be disapointed with either mix.

You can’t hold a classic down, and after a decade of being abused by the bootleggers, ‘Perfect Motion’ is officially back to set the charts alight once more. With a plethora of new makeovers from Starchaser, Way Out West and Valentine & Morseley, variety is once again the spice of life. On the down side there unfortunately appears to be no room for the original and still legendary Boys Own mix, still one a minor gripe.

It's all about the Carl Cox remix.

His remix is about as happy as a 1992 'Ardkore track can get. For comparison, its as happy as say... Rhythm Section's Dreamworld, DJ Seduction's Come On, Krome & Time's Rumblism, Harmony & Extreme's Music (now called NRG Rush), need I go on? If you like high energy 1992 tracks, this one is for your collection!

If thats not enough praise, this is the very best 'Ardkore tune that has Carl Cox's name attached to it. It wouldn't surprise me if this was a Ron Wells production either because its super clean.

This track was a UK chart hit for Sunscreem in 1992, but it's The Boy's Own mix that is one of my favourite vocal house tracks and a Renaissance classic that featured on the seminal Sasha & Digweed mix collection. The central hook of the track was taken from the much-plundered "Theme For Great Cities" by Simple Minds, a record many other acts have since sampled. Heller and Farley's brilliant mix joins the dots between progressive and mainstream house with a bassline to die for and production that still stands up today. If you're into that classic house sound of the early 90s, there are few better examples.

Great to see this classic and absolutely undeniably timeless classic re-pressed on the excellent S12 label. This pressing is superb, on ultra-thick vinyl.

The "Boys Own" mix of this track is probably one of the greatest house tracks ever produced. The vocals are guaranteed to send shivers down your spine, while the bassline lifts you to a higher plane. The subliminal alliteration in the vocal production (evolution -> evo-lution -> evilution) add incredible complexity to a track that glows with pure simplicity and goodness.

Both mixes on the B-side are also classic, but neither come close to the sheer power of the "Boys Own" mix.

Buy two copies of this, as you will definitely find yourself wearing through the vinyl (despite the heavy guage pressing)!

What a tune! Terry Farley & Pete Heller's (Boy's Own) finest contribution to House music and a record that I can simply never ever tire of. Electronic House music that takes the breath away with it's beauty and emotional power. Music to transport you to heaven, ecstacy and the best trip you've ever had. An epic, anthemic record that moves the soul like only the finest House music can. ALL TIME CLASSIC.
