A: House. Tonking Ibiza club classic, well certainly there's a remix of it out there that is. This isn't quite 'produced' enough, ok until the horns come in two thirds the way through. Vocal feels a bit maybe Groove Armada a touch Royksopp. It doesn't quite seem to know what it is it. There's a bite to it. The bass is a little aggressive. There's loads of merit but parts to detract. Just not sure who's supposed to love this? [SEVEN]
B: Techno. Beatless, dark, brooding bass opens before the stone cold killer 4 note synth slays. Beats arrive, simple at first then more percussive. Vocal sample pulses around the speakers incoherent before the synth returns. These two key features trade places and progression is maintained with subtle additional synth loops, what sound like electronic vibes and other little flourishes until the timely breakdown. A quick stripping back allows the synth to capture again, as the features of the first half are reprised. Took me 5 seconds to decide to buy it and the magic hasn't worn off yet. An EXCEPTIONAL release. [GOLDTEN]
