The Donald & Giles mix is a legendary Trance track. It never really got much publicity back when released, in fact I only heard of it after buying Trancemaster 3002. Once I heard it there, I immediately set about hunting down this 12".

Overall, it's a flawless piece of driving yet classy Trance. The bassline is deep in the mix & rolls along with ease, the synths on the buildup intertwine effortlessly (there's even a light sprinkling of acid), and you're introduced to the spoken word female vocal.

Then, once the track breaks, you begin to realise just what an epic journey you are going to be taken on.

Sweeping, siren like synths rise then fall away, leaving nothing but silence. Then the voice...

..then the melody.

What a melody. In a way it always reminded me of the Terminator theme, that kind of anthem. There is no typical buildup, the track just punches in for full effect.

A sublime piece of early 2000's Trance.
