For whom it may concern. I'm not a 1st press junkie at all. But I have to admit: unfortunately in this case soundwise there is only one choice.

I bought this second hand many years ago.
First time I played I thought 'WFT' - this is brilliant.
I believe they made this record to stick it up to the record company.
Love every track - so ethereal.

When I bought my copy when this record first came out, you couldn't give them away. No one wanted it!
They were seen as 'uncool' and not very good at all. I can remember my original verve copy was about 10 quid.
Still have it and have loved it since release. Funny how things turn out!

Just beautiful music. You can hear the influence of this album in the music of Radiohead, UNKLE, Sigur Rós, very directly in Catherine Wheel, early Elbow. Even f***ing Coldplay. Way ahead of its time and worthy of intent listening.
