I was very happy to find both this and the Spirit of Eden SACD both new in a small store for £12 each a few years back. I had a hunch that they would fetch a bigger amount but was astounded by the price here, which, appears to have stayed the same over the years. Truly great albums.

When you consider the amount of money audiophile's spend on a high end sound system, $200 is small potatoes for an SACD that sounds this good. The reality is, some people are looking for the best sound, not the best bargain.

Regarding jwest's below comment: Given that people pay far more because of coloured vinyl, limited pressings etc; it's not so strange to pay more for a rare recording which is superior in SOUND. The Colour of Spring is Talk Talk at their peak and Talk Talk were one of the best groups of that time. And that time, the Eighties, for some people, is the finest in music (the Indie freedom of the Eighties had very real results in breadth of musical expression).

Yes, I wish it were cheaper, I wish I had a copy of this album on SACD, but . . .

I'm sure that the SACD of this sounds amazing, but does it really sound $130 amazing?
