Taxi Girl were a cult band in the French synthpop scene, not so revered in these days of underground 'minimal wave' reissue galore (Deux, Moderne, Ruth...) as they were a little poppier and cheesier (and a lot more successful too).
"Aussi Belle Qu'Une Balle" is one of their later songs and illustrates this perfectly as it is clearly a french answer to New Order's 'fatter' 'second period' (mid-late 80s, more produced and arranged).
So you can hear here hints of "Bizarre Love Triangle" or "True Faith" sung with Daniel Darc's typically mannered and snobbish parisian accent, but no matter what, I think this song has aged quite well and is still both emotional and actually quite rockin.
