I had been searching for this for a while, as the opening chimes used to feature in the opening bed of Tim Westwoods friday rap show. I think they also appeared on a dj Rectangle battle weapon disk (which is, I guess, how they ended up in a montage for a rap(/hip-hop) show. After watching the 'cult classic' Donny Darko, with some special attention paid to the closing credits, I was able to put a track to the chimes.
The use of this song in Donny Darko is inspired. Watch it and see what I mean.
