B-SIDES AND REMIX SESSIONS shares additional material from Terranova's debut CLOSE THE DOOR, and things get off to a funky start with the Stereo MC's taking hold of "Just Enough." Six of these tracks on this album also appear on CLOSE THE DOOR, but by and large, the new tracks make up for the repeats. "Tokyo Tower," for instance, takes things down a notch for a jazzy meandering, while Mekon reinforce the hip-hop stylings with their take on "Prozac." Meanwihle, "Clone" offers a spare, chilly track, and "Open Naked Eye" continues that iciness. Indeed, when Terranova get their hands on Fanatik's "Deep Sleep," they produce a droning backdrop for the hip-hop, whereas Kutmasta Kurt chops up "Turn Around" for a slightly more jittery feel. The bring up the tempo some with the itchy "Sin Bin," but the brightest star on this album is definitely the Psychonauts mix of "Chase the Blues," which takes the listener on a lovely melodic journey that loses some of the heartbreak of the original to explore a more wistful feeling.
