Terranova make the jump to Kompakt for HOTEL AMOUR, a triumphant jump into deep house. Tomas Hoffding's crooning vocals and the strings on "Question Mark" introduce the listener immediately to this new direction, smooth and ecstatic, while "So Strong" goes deeper, with coolly calm vocals from Khan. The melodic and the deep come together in "Paris is for Lovers," and things slow down for Billie Rae Martin to put her wail to work on "Make Me Feel." The energy comes bouncing in with "I Wanna Go Out" and "Ain't No Thing" keeps it going. The beats come at a steady clip, diving into metallic reverb on "Take My Hand" and keeping that dub vibe into the start of "By My Side." Udo Keir lends his gravelly voice to the delightfully odd "Prayer," a cinematic track that just doesn't care what you think. A thoroughly enjoyable journey throughout.
